Find Your Hidden Purpose

Who do you want to be one day? What do you want to do in life? What is your dream job? These are all questions that many of us have been asked since High School, and maybe even until now. But did you know that you do not need to come up with your own dream job nor choose someone else's dream? Did you know that you were actually made with a unique hidden purpose?

I lived my whole school life trying to figure out what I wanted to do in life. My elders wanted me to be a doctor, my parents wanted me to be a lawyer, and the list just went on. I went through college and took career test exams that were suppose to detect which careers would match me best.

All these efforts were done to find that perfect dream job, my purpose for life. At the end, I decided to choose business marketing only because it seemed like a safe major that couldn't go wrong. But even after choosing my major, I still didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. Many would ask me what do you want to do in life?

I really didn't know.

My answer would be, I want to own my own marketing company, or I want to be a marketing coordinator for Amazon, or I want to be a business consultant for Deloitte, and my answers would continuously change based on the current job availability out there. I thought my purpose would be limited to the options I see in this world, or the job labels that were out there.

But it wasn't until about a year ago when I finally found my hidden purpose in life. In fact, not just any purpose, but a unique purpose with no existing job labels. I found a purpose that I didn't have to make up about because I was created for it

You were created for a purpose that only you can fulfill, a purpose that God made you for. Jeremiah 1:5 says, "Before I made you in your mother's wound, I chose you. Before you were born, I set you apart for a special work."

You were not made to make up or choose your own purpose; You were made with a purpose that you are supposed to find.

God made everyone with a special purpose, a special work that can only be completed by you. Don't neglect your God-given dreams, and if you have not found it, do not give up because you do have one

So how do you find your God-given purpose? From first finding your special gift from God. 1 Peter 4:10 says, "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another."

We have all been given special gifts from the Holy Spirit to help minister to others and fulfill our God-given purpose. But before we can have God-given dreams we must first know our gift, our talent given to us by God. You can't have dreams to be a famous chef until you have found your talent and passion in cooking. You can't have dreams to be a professional piano player until you have found your gift and passion in music.

This same analogy applies with your God-given purpose. You must go out there and find your gift from God and find what you're passionate about. My God-given dreams is to be a writer, speaker, and author of Christian books to inspire others in growing their love and faith in a real God. Back in college, I never had any God-given dreams or knew my purpose in life because I never found my passion in God and didn't know what my gift from God was, which I later found was in writing.

But after putting myself out there and trying different things, I finally found my gift and hidden purpose from God. We will never know what we are good at or what we love until we try it out. If you're a good cook, you probably didn't know it until you tried cooking. None of us were born knowing what our gifts and purposes are in life. But just because we are not aware of our gifts and purpose from God does not mean we do not have a God-given purpose in our lives.

Go out there and find your hidden purpose from God. Try different ministries, serve others, get involved in your community, and see where God will take you. You don't have to make up a purpose up for yourself because only God's purpose will give you a life to its fullest. Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you", says the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and future." Your great purpose doesn't come from you, it comes from God.

We will never live satisfied lives if we try to be someone who we were never created to be. God has set you apart for a special purpose - will you find that special calling? So remember, find your hidden purpose

How To Have More Miracles

Have you ever wondered why some people have more miracles happening in their lives than others? We all would love to have more miracles, but is it in our control? Can we have more miracles in our lives?

The first question we must ask ourselves is how do miracles happen in the first place? Miracles happen when we choose to take the path of faith in Jesus. Jesus performed many miracles during his time on Earth, and even until today miracles are still happening through Jesus Christ.

We tend to think that miracles are determined by God, but did you know that you also take part on whether a miracle happens? Miracles happen from you. God has a handful of miracles for us, but we have the power to block God's miracles from happening when we choose our way instead of his way

If you keep choosing your own way, then you will only get the results of doing it your own way. But if you choose God's way, then you will have the results of God's way in your life.

My friend was telling me a couple weeks ago how he had to miss his first day of class due to his vacation trip overseas. The class had a rule that if you missed 1 day, you would fail the class and this same class would not be available until a year later. He had 2 choices that he could make: tell his professor the truth but risk failing the course, or lie and ask his friend to take attendance for him.

Many of us would instantly say, choose the second option! And at that moment, I was also considering the second option as well. But then it occurred to me, if my friend never chose the first option which was to tell the truth to his professor, he would never give God the opportunity to perform a miracle in his life.

We can't always depend on our common sense and follow what logic says, because God works in supernatural and unexplainable ways. In this particular situation, God could have softened his professor's heart and allowed his grace to pardon my friend's absence. But because my friend chose his way of allowing his friend to pretend to be him, he was never able to see the power and beauty of God's miraculous ways.

If we are not careful, we too can take away opportunities that God had planned to allow his miracles to happen. The truth is, we have the power to block miracles that God has prepared for us. We have to be careful to not let our commonsense get in the way of choosing what God wants us to do.

There are many opportunities in our lives that God wants to use as a chance to show his glory and miraculous power, but we take away those opportunities from God by choosing to do things our own way instead of his way.

God wants us to have as many miracles as we can! Why does God love miracles? Because miracles bring all the glory and credit to God--nothing else. Miracles can only be accredited to God because they are the results of supernatural powers.

The definition of a miracle is, a surprising event that is not explainable by nature or scientific laws and is therefore the work of a divine agency - this divine agency is God. God loves letting miracles happen because when they do happen, all the glory goes to him; no common sense can stand to explain God's miracles.

So why would we think that God would want less miracles to happen in our lives? It is not God who limits the miracles, but us who limits them. 2 Corinthians 1:20 says, "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God."

God has many promises and blessings for us in the bible that were made for us, and according to this verse, they are all Yes in Christ. But it is up to us whether we choose to live by faith to attain all the miracles God has prepared for us.

It is our faith that opens the door for miracles to be poured out upon our lives. Acts 3:16 says, "Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed--and you know how crippled he was before." If faith was needed to bring healing and miracles back then in the presence of Jesus, then how much should faith be needed now?

If we never live by faith, then we will never get the chance to see God's miracles in our lives. How can we attain God's miracles?

1. Let go
2. Have faith
3. Believe without seeing

To see God's miracles in your life, you must let go of your situations and let God handle them. Have faith that God's way is better, and sustain your faith by not believing in what your physical eyes see. In my friend's situation, the minute he refused to let go and let God was the minute he refused the path of faith.

The moment we refuse to let go of our situation to God is the moment we lose the possibility of an amazing miracle from God.

If life was only based on scientific laws and common sense, then there would be no need for God because then, everything that was common sense would be the only possibility of truth. But we have to remember that God is there to do what is exactly impossible to do

Miracles can happen and have happened. To have more miracles in our lives means to let God take over our lives more.

Taking the path of faith means you will not know what will happen, but it is through your blindness that you will be able to see through God's eyes. Faith does not mean trusting God 50% and the other 50% trusting our common sense; faith means to trust God 100%. You have to choose to either trust God or your common sense.

Let go of what you know for what God knows. Letting go and trusting God is definitely hard, but it will pay off because faith produces miracles! God has amazing miracles in his hands for you, but he is waiting for you to surrender and open your hands to receive his miracles. So remember, you are the source for having more miracles.

My Maker

Who do you turn to in your most desperate situations, when life sucks up all the joy and energy from you? How do we fix the problems that come from deep within ourselves? What is the best way to fix our feelings of emptiness, insecurity, failure, and hurt?

I sat down that one morning with the feelings of hurt and failure from deep inside my heart. I had just finished scrolling through Instagram, looking at the many likes and followers of many young women who also like me, had the heart to spread the beauty of the Gospel of Christ.

But I asked myself, why did I not have that many likes and followers as they did? I was working as hard as I could, but I didn't see myself growing as I wished to be. The feelings of failure sunk deep inside me, and throughout that day I tried to fix my feelings of insecurity and failure by not thinking about them.

But despite my efforts to keep myself ignorant of my own hurting hearts, the pain still rested there. Anything I did or anywhere I went could not fix the wound in me. So how do we properly fix the brokenness inside of us?

It was in my devotion time with God when he spoke the words of life and encouragement that I needed to fix my hurting heart. And it was at that moment when I realized that only your Maker knows best to fix you

Let's say you have a broken i-phone, most likely you will go to the company who created your phone to fix it because they know the ins and outs of it, which in this case, would be the Apple Store. You go to the Apple store to fix the i-phone because they specialize in creating i-phones, therefore, they know the best way to fix it.

This same analogy applies to us. The best way to fix you is the one who created you, your maker, God. Your father in heaven is the one who made you and knows you. Psalms 139:13 says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb."

God specializes in you. He created your inmost being - he knows your ins and outs, yours pains and gains. He knows how to fix even the deepest hurt you have hidden inside - hurts that you might not even be aware of. He knows what weakens you and what strengthens you. So go to the one who specializes in you, which is God.

God will know the perfect words to say to you that will instill life and joy into your needing soul. Before you turn to positive encouraging books, seminars,  friends and family, or even to this world, turn to your maker because only he knows you best. All other things are good, but they will never permanently fix you.

Psalms 121:2 says, "My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." Our help only comes from the Lord. The best hope you can get when you need fixing is the one who made you. If you are in need of love, hope, security, confidences, strength, or anything else, then go to Jesus because he is all you need

God is the maker of the heavens and earth, the air we breath, the food we eat, the people we meet, but best of all, he is your maker. When you are burdened for more love, go to your maker who will give you his best because he knows you best. So remember, God is your Maker

Do You Really Love God?

If the question "Do you love God" was asked to you, what would you say? I'm sure many of us who know God would instantly say yes! But have you thought deep inside your heart and asked if you really do love God?

It was in the middle of my prayer time with God when he challenged me with the question if I really loved him. I was telling God how I wanted to stay pure and faithful to him so that he would bless my relationship and life. But deep inside my heart, I was scared that if I sinned and failed to be faithful to God, his blessing would not come in my life.

Fears started to stir up in my mind of what God's wrath would look like in my life if I didn't stay faithful to him. My motivation in my obedience to God started to stem from my fear of him, and it was at this moment when God opened my eyes.

My love for God was based on fear. God revealed to me that my faithfulness to him was not because I loved him, but because I feared him.

If you do things for God out of fear of his wrath, then it shows that your love for God is not true. God does not want your love to him to be based on fear, but to have your fear be based on your love to him

Don't love God because you fear God, fear God because you love God

1 John 4:18 says, "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made in perfect love." A true love for God is one that chooses to fear him because you love him. You obey God not because of fear of his consequences, but because you honor and love him so much to not hurt him. This is what it means by perfect love; to love purely with no motivation of fear

Is your fear in God tied to his punishment or in your love for him? Is your actions to God out of your love to God or out of your fear and want from God?

It is only through love that we can justify the pureness of our actions towards God. Our actions to God cannot define our love to him - it has to start from our focus in our love to God to define our actions towards him.

1 Samuel 16:7 says, "..but the Lord looks at the heart." God looks at our hearts, so I encourage you all to look at your heart and see if it truly loves God. When you start from focusing your love to God, everything else will come together. When love is the foundation, you will find your fear and love to God begin to synchronize.

Your love for God will grow your fear to him, and your fear in God will grow your love to him. Although you may intend to do things for God, sometimes you just need to double check your heart to make sure that it is rooted in your love for God. Do everything for God because you love him. So remember, really love God
